2 Applies to Master/PhD students working towards a degree in human genetics or an associated field. Please provide a confirmation signed by the head of department at the moment of your registration.

4 Applies to undergraduate students at university/college level who have not finished any medical degree yet. Please provide a copy of a Student’s ID or a confirmation signed by the head of department at the moment of your registration.

Once your request has been confirmed, we will send you the respective link for your online registration.

Accompanying Persons

Based on European compliance regulationss, the ESHG Conference is only accessible to professionals, industry representatives and other stakeholders in the area of human genetics. It is not possible to purchase any accompanying tickets for non-healthcare professionals or children. Accompanying persons will have no access to any conference areas.

Information on Lunch Bags

Please note that you can opt to pre-order warm or cold lunch bags during online registration. Lunch bags need to be pre-ordered and cannot be purchased onsite. What is covered by the registration fee?

  • Admission to all scientific sessions, exhibition and networking mixer
  • Electronic Abstract book and Programme
  • Coffee/Tea during breaks from Saturday, June 6 to Tuesday, June 9

Payment modalities

Payment of Registration Fees, may be made in EURO by:

  • Bank transfer to the conference account
    Payments should be made without charges to the beneficiary. Any bank charges will be collected on site. Clearly state the participant’s name(s), matching with the name(s) on the registration form.
  • Credit Cards: Diners Club, Mastercard and Visa.
  • Cash (onsite only)

Important Note:
The reduced registration fee is only applicable, if it has also been paid to the congress account before the according deadlines. Registering without performing an actual payment will automatically set your balance to the onsite fee.

Confirmation of Registration

You will receive written confirmation of registration by e-mail when the registration form has been received and the payment has been credited to the congress account. Kindly note that payments made within 2 weeks prior to the conference cannot be confirmed in writing. If you made a bank transfer within this period, it will be essential to bring a proof of payment of your registration fee, when collecting the registration material.

After May 25, 2020 pre-registration will be closed, but you may register at the “New Registration Desk” in the conference venue, which will open on Friday, June 5, 2020, at 14.00 hrs.

Cancellations and refunds

Notice of cancellation must be made in writing by e-mail  to the Congress Office: conference@eshg.org
Registration fees may be refunded if written cancellation has been received as follows:

– within 48 hours of credit card payment : full refund
– until April 2, 2020: 75% refund
– between April 3 and May 23, 2020: 25% refund
– after May 25, 2020: no refund

The cancellation will not be effective until a written acknowledgement from the Congress Office is received. In the case of over-payment or double payment, refund requests must be made in writing and sent to the Congress Office by e-mail. No refunds will be granted for unattended events or early termination of attendance, in case of cancellation of speakers, lack of space in the conference room or any other incidents during the conference, which are beyond the control of the conference organisers.

No exceptions to the refund policy can be made, including health or family issues, however, we welcome substitute delegates at any time. By registering to the ESHG 2020, participants agree that neither the organising committee nor the congress office assume any liability whatsoever. Participants are requested to make their own arrangements for health and travel insurance. The conference fee does not include insurance.

April 3 – May 25, 2020:   Pre-registration & payment at regular rate. At the venue, please proceed to the “Self-Printing Terminals”.
April 2, 2020:  First Cancellation deadline (75% refund)
May 25, 2020:  Second Cancellation deadline (25% refund)
May 25, 2020:
Deadline for Pre-registration. New/additional registrations can no longer be accepted. Please register at the conference venue.
June 5-9, 2020:  On site registration & payment at onsite rate. Please register and pay at the “New Registrations Desk” onsite.
Please note: Pre-registration without payment of the registration fee is possible. The onsite fee will then have to be paid at the registration desk (Credit card or cash in EUR).
